FAQs

The gala is a semi-formal event. While we encourage guests to dress up and enjoy a night out, formal attire is encouraged, but not required. For men this means wearing a suit or dress slacks with a dress shirt and tie, but not necessarily a tuxedo. For women, it can be a cocktail dress, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant jumpsuit. Think polished and classy, but not as formal as black-tie

All black. Black pants, socks, shoes, and, for student servers, a black-collared shirt if possible.

Our meal, prepared by Chef Lovmo and Chef Ezell, will include: salad, short ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, and whole carrots, or a vegetarian/gluten-free option of Italian Beyond Sausage with enrobed mediterranean ancient grains in a light garlic sauce topped with tomatoes.

The gala is primarily designed for adults, but children are welcome. Children would need their own tickets. Please keep in mind that it’s a formal dinner and fundraising event. We kindly request that children under the age of two not attend the gala.

Doors open at 5pm, and the event will begin promptly at 6:45pm. We encourage you to arrive early to enjoy our reception, claim your seats, and get settled.

The Paving the Future Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go toward student scholarships, classroom furniture, technology, and musical equipment at Mountain City Christian Academy.

Yes, tables #1-10 are are reserved for our sponsors and special guests. All other tables will be open seating, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will accept cash and credit cards. Cash is needed for the Split-the-pot game. There is an available ATM on-site. Please ensure you have a payment method ready if you plan to participate in any games or bidding of auction items.

Silent auction winners may pick up their items at the conclusion of the event. We will have a designated area set up for item retrieval near the exit. If you need alternative arrangements, please let us know.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected]. We can’t wait to see you at the Gala!
